I have spent the past seven years building where digital assets meet real-world wealth and succession.

In 2019, when I founded Solal Tech, the question seemed relatively simple: what happens to digital assets when their owner dies?

Real cases quickly showed something more complex. An asset could belong to an estate and still be difficult to identify. It could be identified but inaccessible. Access could exist without anyone knowing who was authorised to act. And even when the legal position was clear, the operational process could still fail.

Experts & Cryptos gave me a second perspective on the same problem. Working with hundreds of notaries and other professionals showed me that the difficulty was not only at the level of the asset itself. It also sat inside the organisations handling the case: incomplete information, unclear responsibilities, missing procedures, and professionals who often had to reconstruct the process from scratch.

That is what changed the way I looked at the subject.

I stopped seeing digital-asset succession as a narrow inheritance issue and started looking at the entire chain around the asset: who knows it exists, where the evidence sits, who is authorised to act, which specialist needs to intervene, what the organisation has documented, and what happens when the usual client relationship is interrupted by incapacity or death.
